Lessons learnt during this photoshoot:
1. A real friend will let you swirl around taking picture after picture, a grand gesture that not all have the patience to promise and deliver;
2. Never underestimate the power of Italian shoes. These were my mother’s who gave it to me saying that they will be my saviours. “Yeah, right”, I thought at first. But once I’ve put them on, they hardly ever come off.
3. Not brushing one’s hair can be a good thing.
4. Peasant tops do well with leather trousers.
5. I should embrace the fact that I constantly look angry in photos. I don’t mean to, but might as well trademark it.
I wore suede shoes of an Italian make (don’t know the brand – don’t think it matters), peasant top by Malene Birger, leather trousers by Alice by Temperley and an oversized bag by Gianfranco Ferré.
