The sky’s no limit

So happy with the UK heatwave, as it was an excuse to walk around in ridiculously small shorts and catch a bit of sun. It also meant that I spent most of the weekend far far away from the evil monitors in the middle of Richmond Park. Pretty pink kettles

Went for afternoon tea last Saturday to a less popular place nearby only to taste heavenly tea, flavours included Apple Loves Mint and Jasmine Dragon. Next time I pop by, I am going to see how well they make my fave beverage – chai latte – a strong flavoured tea with milk and spices.

The day was so tranquil, I’ll probably mentally transport myself to it everytime I am not comfortable with reality. Not necessarily a happy place but a happy day, yes.

Prints and feathers

Prints, glorious prints. These are so painfully trendy right now that I couldn’t walk pass the opportunity to wear an ancient printed maxi skirt of mine. I also am proudly showing off the bag of my own design and make (made it when I was 14 or something).

Last weekend came as quickly as it passed leaving behind only hints of sunshine and warmth. Almost like it never happened.

Curing black with purple

It haven’t blogged for a some time. This is because I moved to a new location where it’s calmer and better for my general being – or at least this is what has been drilled into my subconsciousness. For a whole week now I have been wearing nothing but black which culminated in me thinking that it was time to cure black with purple. I went for the eyes.

It’s very easy to get this look. Draw a line as closely as possible to your lash-line with a black kohl pencil, and then smudge it until it becomes a thick grey line. With a circular eye shadow brush, spread purple eye shadow around the eye in accordance to your mood. Finish with a thin layer of liquid eye liner, and a generous amount of mascara.

I used Givenchy eye shadows (the Spring 2012 limited edition palette which I highly recommend, as it has an amazing texture), Guerlain eye brow pencil and YSL mascara which I have been loyal to since forever.

I am wearing a Twenty8Twelve rivera vest and silver jewellery that I was lucky enough to have been given as gifts.

UPDATE Pret-a-reporter gets the The Versatile Blogger Award

Apparently I ain’t that bad. The lovely Jeannie Richard have nominated pret-a-reporter with The Versatile Blogger Award. Does this mean that from now on I can get away with inserting “award-winning” every time I refer to my blog?

I highly recommend having a read through their blog and maybe snatching an item of jewellery, carefully crafted by them. The pieces there are pretty awesome.

Meanwhile, I am supposed to reveal 7 random things about myself and spread the award further on, i.e nominate more awesome bloggers.

• Most of the time I have very intense and strange dreams. I died in my dreams twice.

• I only use Chanel lipstick as it is the sole brand that does not give me an allergy.
• I have been with the boyf for 7 years now.

The absolutely amazing Jeannie Richard  has awoken pret-a-reporter from its hibernation and put a smile on my face with one more award.

One simply must follow, read and LOVE this amazing and creative blog. It’s one of pret-a-reporter’s faves.

Yamamoto

I attended the Yohji Yamamoto fashion and design exhibition at the V&A last year which took my breath away seen as it had a workshop which allowed visitors to try on some of Yamamoto’s kooky designs. The reason I came back to show you this image was the fact that one of his fashion lines, Y3, which is a collaboration with Adidas, has some great stylish sportswear. I am about to commence a series of boxing classes and yes, looking good while kicking the crap out of the bait is of vast significance to me.

Buttoned up

Despite looking and feeling like someone chewed me and spat me out, my good friend Svetlana managed to find a good angle in a hopeless situation that was my appearance.

Saved by the fact that I decided to inject some vibrant colours into my look, the outfit turned out to be quite good, no doubt the background that is Wesfield in Stratford, East London, added some fashion credentials to that.

Some of you might have noticed my absence from the blogging sphere – this is because I was fighting off a viral infection that dominated pretty much everything in my life for a brief period of time. I must report that I am well now.
